Ovula Ovum
This body of work explores qualities of the divine feminine, of closure and disclosure, growth through division or revelations and secrets (knowledge). Refinement and expansion.
Ovum Ovula: Peeling bac layers of the feminine and doctorine. Influences from retreived Nag Hamadi texts menstrual pad patterns, and egg cowrei shell symbolism, dead sea scrolls
Dream Weaver
Dreamweaver: Finding solace inside a sea of organic rhythms taking an inner journey. Can nature’s wisdom be contained within an ancient text or ‘scroll’? Can we hope to unwrap ourselves by adhering strictly to the guidance offered within texts, or does it exist in the experience of conscious living? Do we weave our own destiny as we go?
Am I revealing more complex layers or refining myself, as I tread a the path of awareness?

‘A Wilderness of Spiders’ is a collective noun I came across in Virginia Woolfe’s, ‘A Room of One’s own’ (1928). She references the many eyes of a spider linked to vast vision. I like the notion of being able to see more with our eyes closed.
A ‘Wilderness of Spiders’ is essentially about dreaming and the subconscious. The work considers how our subconscious might manifest our reality. It also considers the pineal gland (located at the middle back of the skull) as a seat for the soul. A place where dreams and intuition can be discovered in quiet contemplation.
