  • A study in Neutral Buoyancy during Covid-19 quarantine.
  • The artwork is simultaneously a contemplation on the genre of Still life and the concept of temporality. In this scene, aside from the fruit, the other object not moving is me. And inside the time and space of the quarantine room, time is lost as I enter a flow state holding myself still with meditative breath, to capture the man-made objects ironically moving gracefully past me.
  • 一件在新冠隔离期间完成的中性浮力研究。
  • 此作既是对静物画这一体裁的沉思,亦是对时间性概念的探讨。在此景中,除了水果,另一个静止的物体是我。在隔离房间的时空里,当我进入心流状态,以冥想的呼吸保持静止时,时间便失却了流速;而我捕捉到的,是那些人造物,正带着一种讽刺的优雅,从我身旁翩然滑过。

Cross cultural connections: Backhousia citriodora (commonly known as lemon myrtle), celebrated for its soothing properties against mosquito bites, with Artemisia argyi (Chinese mugwort), a plant traditionally used in China to repel mosquitoes. The feather imagery, includes the striking Calyptorhynchus banksii. (black cockatoo) feather from Australia and the mesmerizing striped tail feather from a Chinese Phasianus colchicus (common pheasant) bird, the artwork takes on an ethereal quality.

跨文化联系:Backhousia citriodora(俗称柠檬桃金娘),因其对蚊虫叮咬有舒缓作用而备受赞誉;与之相关的还有 Artemisia argyi(中国艾草),这种植物传统上在中国被用来驱蚊。羽毛图案中包括来自澳大利亚的Calyptorhynchus banksii(黑凤头鹦鹉)的羽毛,以及来自中国Phasianus colchicus(普通野鸡)的
迷人的条纹尾羽。这幅艺术作品呈现出一种空灵的品质。
